Musicologist and essayist Oriol Pérez Treviño presented at Santa Cecilia of Montserrat the Missa Solemnis as one of the capital works by Beethoven, eclipsed perhaps because it was partially released on the same day as his celebrated Symphony No. 9 in 1824. The more than fifty people that came last Friday could enjoy some video fragments of this piece, directed by Nikolaus Harnoncourt (1929-2016). As usual, Pérez Treviño's thoughts took us to the context of the time and we were able to enjoy a sensational afternoon.
