Art historian Mireia Rosich, director of the Víctor Balaguer Museum in Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona), offered a passionate journey through mythology and art. Despite the rain and the fog, fifty people came up to Santa Cecilia of Montserrat. Rosich led us through different ancient civilizations and showed us how they have given similar answers to the basic questions of the human condition from their myths. Facing the eternal questions that caused uncertainty, fear or suffering, the myth appeared with all the power of its images to explain the origin of the world, represent the universe, show the spectacle of nature and thus connect the inhabitants of the place with the trace of the sacred. This inner path through myth and art, she concluded, is an inherent need of the human being, yesterday and today.
