Josep de C. Laplana, monk and director of the Museum of Montserrat, led in the church of Santa Cecilia a commented reading on the "Spiritual Canticle" by St John of the Cross, within the activities of the Sean Scully Art and Spirituality Institute. Father Laplana preached a very illustrative introduction of this mystical poem, and then interjected the reading with explanatory comments. Entitled "Mysticism and Eros", the reflection was about the nuptial love and desire as a metaphor for the union of God with man and how this love emphasizes the spiritual aspects of human love.
